If you had any respect for your child or for science, you would mask-up your 2 year old.
I just don’t understand why protecting others is such a difficult concept for some to understand. Why are so many parents now dangerous propagandists, raising new generations of ill informed anti social thugs?
As a respected journalist, I often have important work meetings to attend. I recently found myself travelling back home from a well guidelined Westminster cheese meeting via Public Transport when a parent, who was masked, dared step on to the number 24 bus while accompanying his unmasked cretin.
It may have been the 150,000 dead or the 1994 Burgundy coursing through my veins But I and the rest of the bus were not in the mood to be infected with Covid that day. We were all imminently at risk, of being put at risk by this deranged daddy. Except for the Bus driver who was safely hiding behind his impenetrable plastic shield.
“JUST BECAUSE SHE IS EXEMPT, DOESN’T MAKE ME SAFE”
Drastic action was needed, so I did my best to discourage the little babbling petri dish from using its “human” right to travel “JUST BECAUSE SHE IS LEGALLY EXEMPT, DOESN’T MAKE ME SAFE” I subtly exclaimed to this hapless “parent”.
The arrogant dad tried to fight back with hollow words like “Please she has respiratory issues” but I and the good folk of London that day had had enough. Others joined my noble efforts “if she coughs I might not be able to fly to the Costa Del Sol” was courageously shouted with scientific wind in the sails of a fellow passenger.
The poor child predictably burst in to tears, undoubtedly out of shame for her father. All because this ignorant dad thought he knew better than Science itself. Not only was the father putting me at risk of temporarily losing my Westminster press pass and the all inclusive waterpark holiday of the gentleman holding the Greggs sausage roll. He was also risking the life of his own innocent daughter.
After a minute of righteous shaming, the deluded dad caved in to the peer-reviewed pressure and took his sobbing vector for disease of a daughter off our bus. Loud cheers and a round of applause could be heard echoing through the bus. It was a great moment that all of us that day will remember as an histrionic representation of science, societal compassion and community parenting.
I was proud to call myself a Londoner.

What an utter load of ignorant shit. If you understood anything at all, you would know that the masks do NOTHING to prevent an aerosolised pathogen from passing through as it is an infinitesimal fraction of the size of the mesh of the mask. You should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourself for posting such vile nonsense. Do yourself a favour, stop writing rubbish and turn off mainstream media. Suggest you inform yourself by having a look at the many studies (now 167) which show that masks make no positive difference to the spread of sars-cov-2 and its variants — start with a group of independent doctors, scientists and lawyers who have formed the Health and Recovery Team at Hartgroup.org. It is free and produces regular bulletins on the covid crisis.
You should be ashamed. What you wrote and did is absolutely disgusting, you are a poor excuse for a human, clearly belittling and degraded that poor dad and child on the bus. How fucking dare you, YOU my not-friend are whats wrong with our world and our society. You are the selfish one being more concerned about loosing your oh so coveted press pass. You are entitled, selfish, and a disgrace. London should not be proud to have you. Utter disgrace.
